STRATEGY AND PLANNING OF TIONG NAM COMPANY
Tiong Nam is part of the Tanjung Pelepas Free Trade Zone (PTP). PTP is rapidly expanding right now. Tiong Nam's strategy is to generate more space in PTP by building more warehouses. The goal is to attract more customers from Singapore. Tiong Nam does not construct warehouses in Singapore because land in Singapore is extremely expensive and scarce. Renting a warehouse in Singapore will be more expensive than in Malaysia. They want to build more warehouses at PTP in order to save money on construction and land costs. 90% of the products in Tiong Nam warehouses at PTP are from Singapore customers. Tiong Nam also focuses on customer import and export services to ensure that high-volume products are available in their warehouses. Tiong Nam's strategies and planning have been implemented in the company.
